ATS Heritage presenting ‘Digital Palaces’ at Connecting Culture: Europe.

The Palace of Holyroodhouse

Anne Fletcher, Director of Interpretation – ATS Heritage and Sutherland Forsyth, Learning Curator – Palace of Holyroodhouse, Royal Collection Trust will discuss how they have taken Britain’s royal heritage into the 21st century. Over the past 3 years Royal Collection Trust has partnered with the leading British multimedia guide company, ATS Heritage, to transform the way that the Collection is interpreted and to bring new focus to the stories of Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and The Palace of Holyroodhouse. The multimedia guides that they have created together are used by over 2.5 million visitors from all over the world each year. This session will explain both the opportunities and the challenges that the new digital interpretation had to meet but also how visitors have reacted and how the innovations have brought unexpected changes to the wider visitor experience.

Anne Fletcher, Director of Interpretation at ATS Heritage
