Canterbury Cathedral – The Mother Church of the worldwide Anglican Communion

We are delighted to announce that we have been chosen to deliver a new multimedia guide tour of Canterbury Cathedral, Mother Church of the worldwide Anglican Communion and part of a World Heritage Site.

This iconic site, although a top tourist attraction, is still a working church with daily worship taking place throughout the day. Our unparalleled experience within this field, will take into account and respect the needs of worship at the cathedral, but also engage and enthuse those of all faiths or none attending as tourists.

Canterbury Cathedral is 3 years into the delivery of a 5-year project called The Canterbury Journey, which aims to not only preserve the site through restoration and conservation, but use innovative techniques to encourage and delight those who visit. Engaging with their existing audience, but also reaching out to new ones is a key message within their interpretation on site. The National Lottery Heritage Fund awarded the Cathedral a total grant of £13.8 million – to which is being added a magnificent £10.9 million raised by the Canterbury Cathedral Trust, from The Friends and many other private and charitable sources in the UK and USA.

As a long-term creative partner, we will be offering Canterbury Cathedral a consultative full-service approach from start to finish. Our team of in-house experts, will deliver all aspects of the visitor multimedia guide experience including interpretation, rich multimedia content production and accessibility, as well as fully supported and maintained devices.

Mark Hosea, Project Director, The Canterbury Journey said: “We are very excited about the opportunity to offer all our worshippers and visitors an additional layer of knowledge and enjoyment, beyond that which they currently experience, during their time with us”.

We have an exemplary track record of delivering world-class audio and multimedia guides to leading Ecclesiastic and Heritage sites, using innovation and inspiration as tools to create the best experience possible. Please visit our Portfolio page to explore our other projects here
