Sports heritage: presenting the rich history of former players and memorabilia

Many sport clubs have a wealth of memorabilia and inspiring stories that they’re unable to share with their public. This restricts the way in which they are increasingly seeking to inspire young people through the rich culture of the sport, and the legacy of the many heavily involved communities. Multimedia tours provide a very exciting answer to the question of how to do this.

Rugby club Parc y Scarlets has recently been able to move forward in this respect by using ATS to put together a heritage trail. The tour – available in Welsh and English – enriches the club experience for its many visitors by sharing:

• The club’s rich history showing its origins and growth over 140 years.
• Stories around the local community, the players and their families and the devoted fans.
•  A virtual tour behind the scenes to meet the “backroom” team who keep the players
  and the grounds in top shape.
